Update:

Just returned from church, and they removed the feeding tube. The first thing he ate was 2 Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

He was a few weeks of rehab before he can come home.

Still continue to pray for Jaylend and his family.

Ha! Donuts - I bet those were the best he's ever had. Bless him, and all those caring for Jaylend.

I am still praying daily, Barbara. Just having real problems trying to stay signed in and posting here.

Barbara, I haven't posted here before, but have been reading and praying. So thankful that the feeding tube is out and Jaylend can eat! That must be a huge encouragement to him and everyone else. Am praying about the rehab on his arm, that he will regain full use of it. Am sure he is eager to get out of the hospital. The Lord has been so good.

UPDATE:

The community really turned out and supported the "Cooking for Jaylend" fundraiser last Thursday. They made over $20,000 for the family expenses. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

They served a plate of chicken or pork or a combo of both meats.

Even better news, Jaylend might get to come home this week!!!!! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Thanks for all the prayers and continue to pray for Jaylend and his family!!!!

I have prayed for this young man and pray he recovers. May God watch over him.
