Lifting up Jaylend, his family and his medical team in prayer.

UPDATE The surgery helped relieve pressure on his brain. The pressure is down. They took him out of the induced coma and he responded to commands. They have him on a ventilator to help with his breathing. He is not out of the woods yet, please keep praying for him.

The county we live in is small, and we only have one high school, so we are a tight bunch of supporters. We love FB and love Jaylend.

The FB coach went up on Tues, when they airlifted him to Charlotte and stayed til Thurs. night to be with Jaylend and his family. He came back for the start of FB practice yesterday.

Coach said he wishes he could cancel the practice, but the state says they must practice so many days to play FB this year. He said Jaylend would want them to go on!!!

Today the coaches in the area are meeting at a conference and bringing their top players. Coach said his top player was in the hospital in Charlotte.

Thanks for all the prayers.

Thank you for the encouraging update, Barbara. So happy to hear Jaylend's condition has improved, and it's good to know your community is so supportive of the family. Smile

Still praying in faith of the divine mercy of Christ, our savior. This 'test' may evolve into a great testimony to the glory of Jesus through many souls. Let it be sweet Lord.

What a lovely post, Rowan72. I agree, and continue to pray.

UPDATE Jaylend is about the same, they are keeping his room quiet, and limiting visitors. Our Youth Pastor went to see Jaylend after church yesterday. Kyle said a silent prayer for him and his family. He can breathe on his on, but they put him on a ventilator, so his brain can rest.

They have set up an account at the local SECU.

Someone in the community is selling t-shirts that say Jayland Strong on them.

The $ raised will help Jaylend.

Someone set up an account on a fund raising site for Jaylend, it is www.gofundme.com/cenyp0

The $ raised is to help the family with expenses.

Please continue to pray for Jaylend.

Thanks for keeping us updated. Our congregation included Jaylend and his family in our prayers yesterday. Certainly seems that he will pull through. PTL!
