A Fervent Prayer For The Sick and Suffering

O Almighty Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God and Savior. The same Lord that so loves His children as to lay His life down for them. The same Lord that rose from the dead on the third day, and Ascended into Heaven. The same Lord that spoke the word and the Centurion’s Servant was immediately healed. The same Lord that restored sight to the blind; cleansed lepers, cured the halt and lame. The same Lord that with a word rebuked the seas and they were calm. The same Lord that raised Lazarus from the dead. The same Lord that has been given all power both in Heaven and on earth, do Thou, the same Lord visit and heal Thy servant, (__name__), from the afflictions that they are now suffering. Strengthen our faith like that of the Roman Centurion, so that we may ask for this healing with the same faith, trust, and hope that Thy servant, (__name__) will be healed in the same manner that the Centurion’s servant was restored to health. O Holy physician of our souls and bodies, hear this fervent prayer for Thy servant (__name__), and grant this request as we hold this, Thy servant up before Thy glorious Throne. We ask this in the victorious and Holy Name of our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I remember my Grandmother reading Corrie Ten Boom when I was a little girl and the paw paw patch song, she also sang to us kids. She'd patiently take turn with each name. Where oh where is pretty little Lucy...way down yonder in the paw paw patch. We felt so special and like you, sweet memories.

Okay, this is something needing prayer and has been an issue for quite a while.

I have neighbors whose property next door - they play loud obnoxious music day and night for hours. The law enforcement doesn't help as it's a low priority for then. The illegal fireworks are also a problem there. It's always those that move in that can make living for others plain miserable. Can prayer be offered to rid us all from that plight? It is done to harass and be in 'peoples faces'. In that situation, only prayer and the creator could ever do anything with that bunch.

Dear Lord Jesus, please grant a quiet neighborhood for Love Roses - I know I couldn't live like that hearing all that noise daily - Please have mercy upon them, and inspire them to stop it, and may the law enforcement help - it is against the law to disturb the peace. Jesus, we trust in YOU! Amen.

Thank you Cakers, I cannot understand why Viewpoints is like that, Rapunzel used to have a prayer thread on there and that stayed until she, herself quit doing it, remember? Some people just don't feel like coming to the Among Friends so don't see it. Anyway I think it's here to stay if people respond to it. I have everyone's request down and in my prayers. One request I ask for myself is that I have a little problem with my right eye, it waters, and itches and this has been going on for a long time, so thought I'd bring it to prayer. Going to an eye doctor is not affordable now at all, so relying upon God and thru Mary's intercession, of course, too.
