Before Sinead O'Conner made it famous.
Awesome video in link, if you're a Prince fan!
"Prince's estate has shared an unheard recording of the iconic singer's rendition of 'Nothing Compares 2 U,' nearly two years after his tragic passing.
The singer's original studio recording was recorded in 1984 at Flying Cloud Drive in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, according to his estate.
Prince used Flying Cloud Drive as a rehearsal space before creating Paisley Park.
The musician originally wrote the song for himself but was then gave it to the Family, the jazz-funk band he put together in the 80s.
'The song came out like a sneeze,' longtime engineer Susan Rogers shared with The Guardian about how Prince wrote the song in about an hour.
While it is unknown why Prince wasn't too keen on releasing the song for himself, Rogers speculated that he didn't want the 'domestic' and 'romantic' themes to reflect his personal life at the time."

Watched it yesterday. So cool to see him perform with the Revolution and rehearse.
