When posting pictures, do you get a message that the file is too large? I'm not sure how to reduce the picture? Perhaps it is the file that it is in?

I just learned to post photos, but I kept getting that message. When you select the photo to post, at the bottom of the photo it will say "Calculating Size" or "Actual Size." Tap those words. Switch size to Large, Medium, or Small. It will post, I think. Still learning myself.

@spumoni99    Thanks, but no expert here.  It's just extremely simple and I've done many.  Anybody who can use a computer and figure out how to post can do it.

It is pretty simple I have only posted a few pictures and never had the issue with the size, I do see an option to choose a smaller size, maybe that is necessary?

@On It    It's got to be your camera setting.  Funny, but I never get that message but I do photos mostly from screen shots or take them with my tablet.  I never take them with my cell phone.  Some good cells like iPhones have a lot of possible settings.

A long time ago I had real camera photos that I did lots of editing on, including making them sharper, thus increasing the pixels, and I got that message a few times on those pictures but nothing since I gave that up.

@Kachina624 What camera setting? LOL. I just point and shoot on the factory setting Apple chose for the iPhone. I need to educate myself.

Alternative for other devices including Macs......

Use the FREE online resizing tool websites.

@On It    I've never so much as touched an iPhone so can't help with that.  Can you call Apple tech support and ask someone?

@granddi  I get that message all the time.  What has worked for me -  I take a screen shot of the pic I want to post, then post the screen shot pic instead of the original.  You can also crop your screen shot a bit to minimize it.  It has always worked for me that way.  Hope it works for you as well.
