I don't know how many threads are affected, but I opened the 'Moms Mabley' thread and got a big warning. Somewhere in that thread, or in the graphics posted in that thread, there is malware.
I don't imagine the poster/s did that on purpose, so I'm not laying blame on anybody. But it happens a lot with graphics or emoticons that come from sources outside this board.
I know there are a lot of computer newbies on this board so if you don't keep and maintain proper protection your computer can be hurt by this. Additionally, if you don't have your computer properly protected from malware or viruses it's an excellent idea to educate yourself. A computer can be taken down before you can snap your fingers if you're not doing your part.
Just hoping that helps somebody!

CB, thanks for the reminder! We all need to be careful...

Hey Kitty! I don't usually start threads because they drop like a rock to the bottom but, after thinking about it a few moments, I figured it was my duty to say something.
I liked the rules they used to have here about not posting outside graphics and it probably served the website well. I've seen this happen on this board before, most often with emoticons from other sites. A LOT of emoticons carry malware and spyware.

I have all sort of anti-virus and malware blockers on my laptop.
IF you got a malware warning, it didn't come from what I posted.

I have good antivirus software. I didn't get any warning from your graphics.
Anybody who doesn't have good antivirus and firewall shouldn't be on the internet at all. You can get virus, malware, etc. just from googling.

thanks from me too.
It's always good to remind everyone that not all graphics are safe.

AGAIN, I didn't blame anybody.
Scottie - it was not a virus warning. It was a malware warning.

I was replying to scottie.
I didn't post anything with malware.

Just curious .... shouldn't the QVC website also have some malware and virus protection?
