Since QVC seems bent on sending things through (for the most part) the US Post Office these days.....well.....
So, I've gone to the main post office where my mail is sorted and complained so many times, well, I've lost count.
All of my neighbors in my neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods have complained....nothing.
I am now (once again) sitting on my land line phone waiting for the post office's 800 number to answer (live person). The recording said it would be at least one (1) hour on hold. What the hay! I've nothing else to do......
Why am I even more upset than usual? Well, my neighbors down the road just delivered to my door boxes and QVC bags (the oranges from QVC) my mail and so much stuff it took her (my friend two trips).
This stuff was not IN my mail box (although much of it would have fit in it) it was sitting on the ground/road that passes my house. Often it's even in the newspaper box (the mail is in the newspaper box). Interesting because I no longer get a paper, it's still up there.
I guess when the post office says one hour wait on that they are truthful!
I won't bore you with some of the stories I've heard from neighbors about their mail delivery. This is all the same mail carrier.
Our mail carrier we've had for at least 20 years retired. Since then it's been a nightmare. We've been told they had to hire 3 people to do what he used to do. Glen (the old carrier) said he doesn't understand the problem other than it's the people the post office hires.
Now I am sure some of you love your carriers and have no trouble. But I've talked to others to have similar issues to myself and my neighbors.
We've filled out forms, we've called the 800 number (waited like I am doing once again) and nothing works.
Obviously, one problem is the US mail isn't capable of managing all of the boxes and packages QVC seems intent on using them for.
I KNOW it all boils down to QVC saving money (by using the US mail (contracts), but come on QVC, this is crazy.
I don't know if it will help but couldn't you help the customer out by looking into this problem with the deliveries of the US post office. Maybe if he (this mail man) only had a few pieces of mail to deliver, he'd be capable of doing that.
I suspect not but it's worth a try.

I'm very fortunate. My postal service is really great, as is my UPS. My only gripe about UPS is that they sometimes make my regular driver double up his route. Thus, is deliveries are often between 7:30 and 8:15PM. My USPS deliveries are usually before noon.

For years and years our post office GOT IT RIGHT. Lately in our neighboorhood we end up waiting until dark for the arrival of our precious mail. And most days while things are okay far too often our mail is misdirected (kind word- I can think of other word choices). Far too often we end up delivering our own mail to its rightful owner. This usually happens when our mail carrier takes the day off. She has been a model carrier so no issues with her. My lates bit of fun while she was away was for the package to be sent back to the place of origin. ... could not figure that one out.. except Fed Ex handed it off. Not a fan of FedEX. UPS has been fine so far with the hand off system.
In any case I DID COMPLAIN after thinking about it. And the answer: OUR NEW STAFF IS NOT ALL THAT ALERT OR BRIGHT OR DEPENDABLE OR...... Seems the hiring process has deteriorated. And reading is no longer a criteria.
In case you are wondering. We are rural delivery. We live in Maryland within an hour of Baltimore and DC on a triangle of sorts.

Back in September our regular mail person was replaced with substitute carriers.
All of a sudden, if it was a junk mail only day, we didn't get it. This was happening at least twice a week.
We would only get mail if there was first class stuff to be delivered.
I signed up for informed delivery and since then it hasn't happened at all.
I don't know if it's coincidence that the non-delivery stopped happening or if they know they are being watched.

I am angry about QVCs delivery system.
I ordered an Or Paz ring on January 6, it's STILL not here.
ps Just checked, it's been through THREE post office systems at different locations and has been at the SF post office for the past three days.

@Annabellethecat66 Do you live out in the boonies? Not in a neighborhood?
I have lived in my home for 25 years. I live in a subdivision of many homes...in a large city...never had a problem with delivery of USPS, UPS or any other delivery. Am I just fortunate? Maybe.

@SeaMaiden Well it used to be the boonies now .... well..not so much.
It's a neighborhood. We all live on 1 acre lots. We're lucky because it's all dead end streets off of a two lane road that twists and turns and this area of Northern Va hasn't kept up with the roads so here are dozens and dozens of cars winding down the main road (off of my neighborhood) to and from work.
It's crazy! It's two freaking lanes and sometimes there are as many as 40-50 cars in a line. They are 'country' roads.
The other mail carrier had no trouble. My friend just called and said she noticed it is a different carrier than the one we complained about. He is as bad if not worse.
The one that retired was really good. I think it's mainly that QVC sends stuff through the post office and they can't handle all of the packages (not the mail, the packages). You should see these guy's trucks! It's crazy! It's not my fault and I'm complained to QVC but it doesn't matter.
When the UPS guy comes he puts them next to my garage door, but the Post Office carrier can't be bothered I guess so he lays them on the freaking road! If someone drove by (from the main road) which they sometimes get confused and do, they could help themselves to my packages! It's not the first time it's happened and I'm sure at this rate it will happen again.
I'll just have to stop ordering. I order cat food from Chewy and it comes to my garage door. I order from Amazon and it comes to my garage door. Go figure!
With QVC the customer doesn't matter, all that matters is the bottom line, I guess. Phew!
OK, it's been over an hour and I'm still on hold! I'm sitting here in my family room with the clock on the wall watching TV so I know when I started and well...I don't have anything else to do.

I've been where you are. First of all, I was on a rural route and back when the post office got rid of all those RR addresses, they also eliminated the RR post office as well. My neighborhood was combined with a local city and that was a nightmare. I was literally getting my mail delivered at 7pm & later.
Then our beloved carrier retired a few years ago and it's been awful. I pretty much quit ordering anything that won't fit in my huge mailbox because I never know where I might find my package, IF they even decide to deliver it!
Many times I get a note left in my mailbox to come pick up a package (not needing a signature) and if I wanted to go to the post office to get my packages, I wouldn't use mail order! I'd just buy at retail.
Not to mention the times I get packages that don't belong to me. I guess the mail carriers want all of us neighbors to really get to know one another.
People are always singing the praises of Amazon and buying online. Good for them, doesn't work for me.
Edited to add, I live within a metro area of 1,000,000 people.

@Annabellethecat66 I can see where that would be VERY FRUSTRATING! It is just WRONG. Sorry you have to spend your time trying to fix something that it seems is not going to fix very easy....and on hold FOR AN HOUR? That is just ridiculous!
I wonder if a letter all about your issues snail mail... sent certified mail to the the post master general would do you more good than calling on the phone. AND send a copy of your well documented complaint to your local news stations. Tell the Post Master General that you sent a copy of the complaint to the news stations too!

I'm irritated with my post office right now, too. I got a package yesterday that they stuffed in my mailbox. They've done that before. I had a terrible time getting it out and thought I was going to pull my mailbox off the post trying. It really irritates me when they do that.
