Anyone hear about this ... a friend of mine who is a poodle breeder for over 40 years had a 2 year old mini poodle who was pregnant and due to deliver this Thursday ... two days ago she developed a bloody stool, vomiting and fluid in the lungs .. they took her to the vet who gave her antibiotics etc., and they watched her very carefully ... she died within a few hours... according to my friend there have been scattered cases across the country ... seems to be spread by mosquitoes. They were able to save one of the babies ... she is in an incubator and is being tube feed... hopefully she will survive.
