Would you spend $400 on face creams/skin care to *gift*, i.e. not for yourself but for a friend or family member?

First, not sure I think of skin care as a typical gift you'd give someone. Second, you could buy an excellent handbag or something cashmere for that price. I'd be...*skin* care?

Of course, buying for yourself is a totally different thing.

No, I don't have that kind of money for me or anyone else on skin care.

That's what the Tatcha POSH went for tonight.

@Moonchilde I saw that and I must confess that my jaw dropped. I figure there are those who do have the money, that's all. I have used the oil cleanser and it is very nice, but I couldn't afford the rest, like some can.

@skuggles, me too - as much for the item as for the price. I don't really think of skin care as a high end *gift* other than from husband to wife if she especially asked for it, or perhaps to a daughter from a very well-heeled mother.

I think of a skin care gift a bit like Poo-Pourri, a firming/tightening device, a Hair-Renu, or an Emjoi foot shredder - things you might need but should buy for yourself ;-)

Jane reminds me of mama Rose from the musical " Gypsy ", a real stage mama.

To me, this was the best Posh Presents show QVC has done in a long time!  I really enjoyed the beautiful outdoor set and the fun  atmosphere mixed with Jane's expertise in hosting.  She kept it interesting, light, charming, while still selling, selling, selling.   Great show!

@KKlim  Easy answer: Jane's daughter most likely got paid next to nothing compared to  Q model.

Jane's daughter is a dancer, singer and actress who lives in NY to pursue a career in the arts.   Jane likes to have her on TV for exposure every chance she can get, even if it's just to get more & more comfortable in front of a camera.   It's harmless.  She seems like a lovely young woman. Who among us wouldn't do that for our own daughter if given the chance?
