So sad to hear about the Pope's passing.  He was a good person whose memory will indeed be a blessing.

Pope Frances as a young man, what an incredible journey.

Although, I am no long a practicing catholic. I am non denominational christian for the past 30 years. I was brought up in a strict catholic household.

The pope and all future popes,  will always be near and dear to my heart.

He was a good man, and walked the walk.

May he rest in peace.

I admired that he chose not to live in the lavish papal apartment, but chose instead to live in a Vatican guest house.  I also love that he rode his bike around because he was concerned about being environmentally responsible.

He was a cool guy.

It’s such sad news to hear about the pope’s passing. He was a progressive pope. I’m sure he’ll be missed by many. I agree with icezeus, he walked the walk. I’m hoping there will be someone out there who can fill his shoes.

Pope Francis made a statement that I like a lot:

"The Lord never tires of forgiving. It is we who tire of asking for forgiveness. A little bit of mercy makes the world less cold and more just".
