Christie Brinkley was scheduled to be a guest on Dancing With the Stars this season. While in rehearsal shortly before the show, Christy fell, smashing the bones in her arm, wrist and thumb requiring emergency surgery. She will not be able to participate. Her daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, has stepped in to take her place.

She will be in another ABC show.

Reprising her part in the Vacation movies and appearing on

The Goldbergs.

Maybe she will compete next season on Dancing.

For some strange reason, I do not believe her arm injury is as bad as she makes it out to be=publicity stunt. Probably just a bad strain if any injury at all. I truely believe her daughter was suppose to be on the show to begin with.

Christie cannot dance PERIOD!

There is always some sort of drama for this show right before it premiers a season to get viewers to watch.

She does have a cast in her arm right now.

She broke her bone, needed surgery and had screws put in. They do not do that for a sprain.

Wendy Williams and others are saying she faked this injury or set it up so that Sailor can take her place.

I believe she broke her arm. Other dancers have gotten injured and had people step in for them. I don't know why people are making such a big deal about this.

I was looking forward to seeing Christie perform.

It just does raise suspicion.

Was Sailor on the short list to appear anyway?

Out of alllllll the people DWTS has in their ‘pipeline’ to appear/compete

on the show, just a random ‘Why not her daughter?’ wouldn’t be part

of the equation.

If suddenly Sailor has a clothing/makeup line releasing...

DWTS would definitely be the catalyst to get her name known.

Most all these ‘reality’ shows & ‘contests’ for people are nothing

but promoting their personal brand...a commercial for their

new business venture. Has been, is, and always will be.

Although superficially Christie does not look her age, she probably has the same issues a lot of women her age have to get hurt doing physical activities she isn't used to.

I was looking forward to watching Christie but her daughter is very sweet and it is nice to see her helping out her mom.

As far as Wendy Williams comments? The woman is insufferable.
