More than one dog was attacked. The others survived but needed medical assistance. Be sure to inspect cool hiding places where bees can hide....in sprinkler boxes and under the eaves of your house.

What city is this in? The steelers QB - Ben Roethlisberger donates police dogs to cities when they lose one in the line of duty - it is on the news here occasionally.

It was a retired Las Vegas police dog. Especially sad that it was an older dog, at 11. Poor thing.

I hate bees but really went a little nuts when the Africanized ones showed up. That's what killed the police dog. I told my husband to pull out all our flowers. We do have an oleander bush but I want that gone too....unfortunately.

How sad...
We had a huge group of bees show up 2 years ago...I mean like in a ball...they covered most of one huge oak tree. I went in the yard...didn't see them...they blended into the color of the bark. As I stood there I heard an intense buzzing. Scared the heck out of me. Called our exterminator to ask what we should do...I mean it was 1,000's. He came to take a look and said leave them until the next day he bet they will have moved on...sure enough they were gone.

We've never had a swarm on our property but from what I've heard in the news, these don't move on and are easily provoked.
