We are friends with a local pastor of a very small church. They will be taking a much needed vacation in December. The small congregation has already given a small love offering to purchase gas while traveling. We would like to give them gift cards to where they like to eat. I wanted to stretch our money for more gift cards if anyone has used a safe and legitimate site that offers discounts when purchasing restaurant gift cards. I have already researched this but not sure about some of the offers. Thank you. Southern Bee

Raise and Gift Card Granny come to mind.
I have used Raise on several occasions with no problem.

How about just shopping local? All drug stores have displays that contain a lot of restaurant gift cards! Lowes and Home Depot have gift card displays also. I would NEVER buy gift cards online!

Sams? I know they have them. How about just generic gift cards so they don't have to be on the lookout for certain restaurants.
McDonalds? They are good for a quick and inexpensive breakfast especially if you are on the road.

I think a pre-paid ATM card would be a better choice. It can be used anywhere for any purchase: entrance fee, soda at the corner store, restaurant, band-aids, tums, fuel, snacks, anything.

Locally all restaurant gift cards are full price no discounts including our Sam’s club. Southern Bee

I think a pre-paid debit card would make much more sense. That way they can use the card for anything, and any place they choose. If people give them cash, they can load that cash on the card.

I have used Giftcardgranny to sell and buy gift cards...also have purchased discount cards at Groupon.

I think some missed the point of wanting to have the money go furthr to buy discounted cards. I do know Sam's club offers them. I have always purchased there and have never had a problem. Also, with the holidays coming local establishments often offer "specials" on their gift cards. What a thoughful idea.
