I recently was looking at a product that had one review. The review was one star and the reviewer did not recommend it as a gift. With that information, I wouldn't buy it, but let's take a look at the review:
Does anyone else see the problem. The reviewer never got the product. Instead the review was about a problem with shipping and QVC and had NOTHING to do with the actual product. Please keep reviews related to the product. If you want to vent about QVC then use the forums or send an email. QVC should remove this review as again it has NOTHING to do with the product. And this is just one example - there are probably thousands of reviews that have nothing to do with the products.
There are many other problems with reviews. For example, someone rates a product lower because it was "missing" something, when if they read the description they would have known it wasn't missing anything. Please, I base my purchase decisions in part on reviews so let's make them intellectually honest. And by honest, I also mean, if you are reviewing a $90 tablet, remember it is a $90 tablet and not a $900 tablet, so base your reviews on realistic expectations based on what you pay and other factors. A $90 tablet isn't going to be as good as a $900 tablet nor should anyone expect it to be. Many thanks,

What? I have enough rules on my job and in my real life, I certainly don't need to follow a bunch of rules for something as silly as posting a product review on a shopping channel. Half of the reviews aren't even true anyway. You're big girl, if a review isn't helpful, move on to the next one.
