This is tough, I am so sorry. I remember when my father was in this stage. He was having a lot of eye movement and that rattle-breathing , and his hospice nurse said she thought he was actively hallucinating. My mom, sister, and I chose to see it as some higher power gently easing him out of this world and into another plane of existence.
