My minimal insurance now just covers a $20 co-pay for the exam, not any % discount on contacts or glasses. I want to change to contacts you can sleep in/wear overnight for set period of time. Besides Walmart, America's Best, VisionWorks? I did 1-800-CONTACTS many years ago & I liked them, know there are other online sites. Recommendations?

1-800-Contacts is still the best, imho. Shipping is crazy fast.

Vision Direct. I order from them all the time. They are the only place cheaper than my eye doctor.

I go through Mr. Rebates (right now they are offering 12%), there is always a coupon, free s/h and the shipping is fast.

If the price is the same as my eye doctor, I'd rather give him the business.

Before I had laser surgery, I went to America's Best for exams and contacts/glasses. Competitive pricing, and I always had competant doctors and service.

Sam's Club. I think it would be well worth buying a membership to Sam's or Costco to get the discount. You could buy them now and then buy a few more boxes just before your membership expires in a year.

Another vote for VisionDirect! They have unbeatable prices on a full year supply with coupons, rebates, etc. I've found that no other place comes even close to their price. They are a trustworthy site, owned by drugstore.com.
