Some of you may remember my Anna. Anna is a male tuxedo Maine Coon. We had a bit of a scare over the weekend. Anna couldn't seem to be able to pee. He would run back and forth to his poo box with no results. He had a complete blockage back in 08 and had to stay at the vet's on a IV for 3 days. Yesterday afternoon we decided to take him to our vet's main office that will open up for emergency care. Our vet's office is closed on Monday's and we didn't want to take any chances with him. He's going on 8 years old. As luck would have it, the vet that opened up and treated him is also one of our regular vet's that see's him at our vet's office. She gave Anna a complete check up and 2 x-rays. It turns out that he wasn't completely blocked. He has a UTL. She gave him a Baytril Injection-Antibiotic and sent us home with Clavamox Drops to be given 2 times a day. Yesterday's pee was about the size of a top of a pencil eraser. This morning it's about the size of a dime, so it seems to be working. His eating, drinking, pooing, and grooming are all normal. Anna weighs in at 13 pounds. Please keep him in your prayers...
