I saw an article in todays paper - The Seattle Times - about a man in Tacoma who is in critical condition with PLAUGE.

He attempted to remove a mouse or rat from the mouth of a feral cat; the cat BIT him and now he's in hospital and may not survive.

Please, NEVER attempt to take anything out of a cat's mouth like that, especially a stray or feral cat. If you absolutely must, use thick gloves. PLEASE be careful!!!
