Tragically, a very fine woman, in my town, died a few days ago ,as a result of using a space heater, ..She was using it in her bedroom..Her husband walked to the mailbox to get the mail..when he returned to the house, her room was engulfed in flames

He fought heroically to free her from the room, and managed to get her out into the front yard, where she tragically died from smoke inhalation..He is in the hospital , in serious condition from smoke inhalation, and burns

They were such nice people, in their late 80's..My sister was friends of theirs , she knew them from some civic organizations they belong to..I knew the lady briefly, and liked her very much

It has been very cold here, and I guess she felt she needed a bit of extra heat, so she used the space heater..The home burned to the ground, and we don't know the entire story yet
