Plantar Fasciitis - arch support question

I need to buy an arch support insole to relieve the pain in my foot due to plantar fasciitis.

I've gone online and prices range from reasonable to quite expensive.

A reputable website for health issues states that a drug store arch support insole would be fine.

Anyone have recs or experience with this type of thing? Are they all alike?
