Pinched nerve-ouch!

I've had a pinched nerve now for 8 days and it's causing major pain in my arm and my left thumb is numb I've been to urgent care and they said it's in my neck because my arm hurts. I've been on prescription anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxers since Monday and have also been doing exercises for my neck. I've gotten no relief. Tomorrow I'm going to my Orthopedist. Today I'm trying a heating pad and then maybe some ice. Anyone else have pinched nerve stories?

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
