If that or something else happened wouldn't you think that passengers would be on their cells calling the airline, relatives ?

Since they were flying into the Alps perhaps there was no signal? I wondered about that and I haven't read or heard any news regarding that.

They had 8 minutes.

If the pilot was locked out that would certainly be something I'd want to tell my husband.

I'm thinking the co-pilot had a heart attack.

That wouldn't explain why the FA couldn't open the door or the even descent of the plane.

I guess.

Do you think it was suicide?

This is why I think ALL flights should be directly connected to computers ...up to the cloud.

There is no reason to have to rely on black boxes that can get smashed to smithereens or lost forever.

Re: Pilot Locked out of Cockpit on Fatal Flight....

There should probably be some sort of black box video(s) in cockpits.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Looks like they were in a pretty remote area, not certain there was coverage.

Doesn't sound like they had a lot of time to think about getting on their phones.

I think they said the plane was descending in an orderly way...probably no reason to panic.

The pilot shouting and banging on the cockpit door would be reason to panic.

Panic maybe but there still wasn't loads of time to think about getting on the phone and calling relatives. THis wasn't like the 911 flights.

It needs to be live streamed up to the cloud...so it won't be lost of the plane goes down.

Re: Pilot Locked out of Cockpit on Fatal Flight....

Just heard a very interesting observation.

Why aren't there videos in the cockpit like there are in 10s of thousands of 7-11s ?

Yes, Terrier........videos, audio, and whatever else should be beamed up to Cloud. Just in case something like this happens.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
