If that or something else happened wouldn't you think that passengers would be on their cells calling the airline, relatives ?

Since they were flying into the Alps perhaps there was no signal? I wondered about that and I haven't read or heard any news regarding that.

I think they said the plane was descending in an orderly way...probably no reason to panic.

That wouldn't explain why the FA couldn't open the door or the even descent of the plane.

A lot of Europeans have satellite cell phones...they don't need towers to be connected.

The pilot shouting and banging on the cockpit door would be reason to panic.
