Re: Phylicia Rashad Speaking Out on Cosby - Strong Words

All of the allegations are credible, Ms. Rashad should be quiet imho.

I haven't bothered to read what she said but if she's insinuating it's a conspiracy theory then she's got no credibility and is talking pretty stupid.

The report I heard this morning quoted her as saying someone was behind those women and orchestrated the attack on Cosby.

So one person has rounded up 24 unrelated people to bring him down? She's a dolt if that's what she's sticking to......

Re: Phylicia Rashad Speaking Out on Cosby - Strong Words

Some of you are "shocked" and offended because a strong, prominent woman who knows Bill Cosby and his family well and worked with him for many years now voices her views on the unsubstantiated, unprovable allegations made by a series of women? I say good for Phylicia Rashad! I consider her opinion worth hearing.

Nobody can know for sure what really happened (or didn't happen) with Mr. Cosby's accusers, but I find it very questionable that NONE of them pressed charges at the time of the alleged incidents. A large number of women were sexually assaulted by the same prominent, wealthy man over a long period of time, and NOT ONE of them filed charges? Not even ONE?! Now, decades later in some cases, they want to prosecute their unprovable charges in the Court of Public Opinion? Too late, ladies. If there's any truth in it, you should have spoken out then.

One did. Nothing happened.

If you know anything about rape, you would know most rapes are never reported.

Why? Because of reactions like yours.

Why would her response shock anyone? She's known the man for many, many years. If she herself has never witnessed his alleged behavior and if she herself never heard of such behavior....how could she react otherwise???? It's not like any of the stories were credible. There was no proof, just allegations that were made decades after the alleged incidents. And no charges have been filed. So, I would expect her to be supportive of Cosby and his wife.

Did you actually bother to read what she said?

I took her to be an intelligent woman and not to succumb to a conspiracy theory.
