Veering off topic slightly, but Phil's death reminded me of an old favorite of mine:  Erma Bombeck.  She wrote a humorous column called At Wit's End and a book titled The Grass is Always Greener Over the Septic Tank.  They were neighbors and good friends..

I love this shot! Phil and I had only met a few months before on his show in Chicago. Then he came to visit me at my house in Beverly Hills. Here we are in my backyard. Sparks continued to fly! They still do!

I have seen the video clip of when she was on his show and they were so flirtatious. Instant chemistry that turned into a long term love and marriage.
