Phenobarbitol Recalled

March 10, 2011, the FDA has advised Veterinarians of recent recall of humand drug, Phenobarbitol. Drug is prescribed for animals as extralabel. Qualitest Pharmaceuticals Company voluntarily recalled several lots of of Phenobarbitrol 324mg and Hydrocodone Bitartrate & Acetaminophen 10mg/500mg due to a label mix-up between the two drugs. The Center for Veterinary Medicine has received three serious reports of adverse reactions.

If you are using Phenobarbitrol for a pet, please check with your veterinarian immediately! This is serious!
