pistolino..
I have no doubt that Kramer helped to bring you and that sweet little dog together so that you could save it and give it the love filled forever home it deserves to have.
I'm praying with all of my heart that it all comes true!

Hi Everyone!
Hope all and everyone is well.
Pisto! Did you get your new buddy? I hope so. That poor little soul just needed to come and live with you.
Take care everyone.
We are suppose to hit 70 ish for the next few days. Doesn't feel much like winter...

Purrs-Day Morning Greetings!
Due to the lovely snowstorm that's raging outside I'm going to be stuck inside for the day. All schools and most businesses are closed due to the terrible road conditions and the limited visibility.
Rooney... If you want to ""feel winter"" you're more than welcome to come here to New York! I'll take 70-ish over this insanity any day!!!
Wishing everyone a pleasant day and hoping that all is well with you and your precious furbabies.

I did get a new buddy, but not the one I told you about. I am VERY disappointed in the county shelter. I have called every day this week trying to find out when the dog would be available and they kept saying "tomorrow" and along with that, yesterday they said "the vet will see him tomorrow and decide whether we can put him up for adoption or not".
I was dumbfounded because if there's some question as to whether the adoption can take place, it has to be a medical reason or behavioral, neither of which anyone mentioned over the past week and a half. This is a VERY high-kill shelter and I hated going there but I thought if I adopted from there it would be one less dog euthanized.
If you want to know the truth, I almost wonder if he wasn't euthanized already and nobody wants to tell me.
So---I visited a local no-kill shelter because they had an 8-year-old poodle available. I had never been there before and it is a very well-run, clean and caring shelter. My new pal is named "Keys" (no idea where it came from but he answers to it) and he is SO nice and friendly. They had taken him to an adoption event last weekend and people did look at him and remarked about how nice he is, but the lady told me she's positive his age is the reason why nobody took him - which is sad because he has a lot of good years left. He's very active, healthy and the shelter neutered him and gave him a full dental earlier this month and pulled 2 teeth, so he's even clear there.
I'm also going to pursue with the county shelter why I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone regarding the other dog. At the very least, someone could have told me there might be some issue earlier in the week. I just found the people working there really unhelpful (even when I was visiting--they just let me wander around by myself, which I was surprised by). There are a lot of things they can do to increase adoptions there and they don't seem to be motivated to do that.
Anyway, I was allowed to take Keys home today and here he is!!!

Hi Everyone!
Hope everyone is well!
Beastie-, I don't want a lot of winter, but some would be nice... If not - then it all just needs to go away and be spring to the trees will bloom and the flowers will grown. But, will happen is the trees, etc., will be fooled, bud out and then freeze. That is always so hard on the plants and often kills them.
Pisto- What a sweet boy! Give nose kisses please. I am happy you adopted him. As you say, he has a lot of good years left. And, even if he doesn't - his final years will be filled with love.
Here is a pic of CHB and Jack a couple years ago. I may have it post eariler, but I thought it was cute and worth posting again... They are hanging out on my parents house...
