Among my pet peeves is one about this board. It annoys me when there is a long thread going with some very thoughtful answers and someone posts after obviously only having read the OP, none of the responses. Helllllooo? Several people already posted what you just did. My attitude is I won't open a thread unless I'm committed to reading through the whole thread first. (Which is why I still haven't commented on ShowMe's Mr. Lucky thread).

@itsmagic I so agree with you. I avoid these self-checkouts at all costs. With some stores in my area, I come into the store, I find my own merchandise, I pay for it and then I have to bag it myself. No way will I do their checkout job! They should pay me for not using a cashier.

mainly the lack of commom courtesy and customer service skills in stores! cashiers who are too busy yakking with other cashiers. cashiers talking about their socializing and the ones that wear intimate apparel fit for the bedroom only, as work clothes

Being asked at the grocery checkout if I want to donate to this or that charity. I hate having to verbally decline when the checker asks me, I just want to buy my stuff and leave. Not be bombarded with a checker asking me for more money.

People who don't use turn signals
People who drive under the speed limit in the left lane
In the grocery store: emptying their cart onto the belt and then not pushing the cart forward.
Huge trucks and SUVs taking up more than one parking space. If you can't park that monster properly, don't buy it!
Reality TV and tabloid magazines
Specific to this forum: posting an inane picture in the middle of a interesting discussion. I find it condescending and very passive-aggressive

To each their own I guess. I enjoy the cat/dog pictures that show up at unexpected times. They make me laugh. I don't find them inane or passive-aggressive however pointing it out does!

People who talk during a movie
People who park so close to my car that I can barely open my door

Yes, indeed. To each their own.
Speaking of passive-aggressive...
Good job!

My pet peeve is people who gripe and complain about every little thing. Especially the retired ones who go to the post office at noon and gripe cause the line is long. If they would go sometime else they wouldn't have to stand in line with the working people who HAVE to go at noon.
