Aww, I love that you have a goat. They are one of my favorite animals. If I lived further out in the country I would definitely have one.

My goat is about 5 now. I fell in love with her because when I called her name she'd call back to me! So I had to buy her! I never knew though how hard it is to keep some breeds healthy. It can be challenging.

Much as we tried, ours would just dance about bobbing his head.
My sistter-in-law's pet parakeet can say his name. He flies around the house & lands either on her shoulder or back into his cage bobbing his head & saying his name to whole time.
My grandmother had a yellow parakeet in the 1950s that could say both his first and last name, and a little phrase - "I'm Cookie _______, I'm Wilma's little friend."
I began to doubt the story a little bit, after having several parakeets that never talked, but I just recently came across a lady on another forum that I frequent who hand raises parakeets and trains some of them to talk.
She did say that males are the talkers. Male parakeets develop blue above their beaks, while females are beige, and that is not evident until they are mature.
I really believe it takes a great deal of patience and dedication, the absence of other birds, and an otherwise "quiet" room, meaning no TV, music, etc, in addition to starting them young, but having a male!

At the present time, I have a 12 year old female chihuahua, an 18 year old female cat, and a female crested gecko that I had a few months before I got the chihuahua, so she is also 12.
The chihuahau was a Christmas gift from my oldest son, who did ask me beforehand if I wanted her. The cat was a rescue barn cat left here by my daughter when she left home, and the gecko was something my youngest son swore he would treat as his daughter!
I have, at some point in my 66 years taken care of dogs, cats, rabbits, parakeets, lovebirds, chickens, ducks, tropical fish, turtles, crabs, a ribbon snake, and a bearded dragon who grew to be about a foot long before I rehomed him.
Some of the dogs, cats, birds and chickens I brought home, but the majority are animals my kids, especially my daughter, brought home. Somehow, I always became the primary caretaker. They knew I drew the line at rodents.
