Re the name - - In doing genealogy I have a great grandmother named Bertie or Birdie.  It shows up differently on various documents.  Don’t know if it’s a nickname or full name.  Bertie can be a form of Bertha (Old German) or Alberta (Old English) or Roberta (Old English, Old German).  I'm guessing it could be a family name.

I had an Aunt Bertie.  My Uncle Nick married a woman named Roberta, and Bertie was her nickname.

Every since this thread was started, I couldn't remember what movie

had a Birdie!  Just checked on IMDB...it was spelled Birdee,

but I just love the name.  

It can be old-school southern OR high-society preppy.

She bought Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne’s house in Hidden Hills. Which is gorgeous.  She is also coming out with a book on her life. Between her divorce from Nick and her dad coming out as gay it should be juicy.
