I do the same thing as dooBdoo, check online.

Its a complicated system, way beyond my knowledge base.

Last week my neighbor called me on his cell phone asking if we had phone service.  We did, he didn't.  He called a friend who works for Comcast, who told him the company was adding lines which was affecting the phone service for some customers.  He had him unplug and replug his modem and the phones operated again.

It would be nice if they could initiate some notification system that would alert customers when they were experiencing issues.

@Allegheny, I agree with you.   At the least, they could add a banner to the top of their website and add a notice to their Twitter and Facebook accounts.   Instead, they expect their customers to rely on the downdetector site, and other sites listing outages.   I really don't like Comcast and I understand why they consistently rate as having the worst customer service of all businesses in the country.

I agree.  But of course Comcast won't be deducting the 2, 4, 6, 8, or however many hours of outage from our bills.

Problems in the Atlanta area also.  Their outage map shows big outages in a whole lot of places.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Are you experiencing problems with TV (only getting about 10 or so channels)  and the Comcast website?  Also, when I call the customer service number I get disconnected.  I did pay my bill so that's not the problem.

Thanks so much for starting this thread. Wondered what was going on since I couldn't change to another channel. When I tried it would show a message about some sort of problem and I thougt maybe it was my tv.

I have experienced no problems with my TV reception that I have through Comcast.     I have phone and Internet through AT&T . Not stupid enough to have everything through Comcast.

I have everything through Comcast, only my cable was affected.  Land line and internet worked fine.

I've had Comcast for several years with minimal downtime for any of the three services.

@SeaMaiden, your statement about not being stupid enough to have all three is a bit offensive.
