David Beckham? Well, OK I guess.
But I'm more upset that People relegated the Paris tragedy on the cover to just a square on the left. Don't you think they could have postponed their "sexiest man" issue one week at least? I do.

I agree on all points, BeachMom.

You would think they would.

No, I don't. There is enough coverage on tragic events - on the local news, the national news, and all over the place on the internet. I will take a cover picture of the sexiest man alive over a cover picture of a tragic scene any day of the week.

Maybe they want to keep with the "normal"...let life go on.

Of course there will be differing opinions about something like this.
I've never considered People mag a hard news source so I just expect the latest gossip about celebrities, photos of the newest royal babies, & other such lightweight topics.

David Beckhem? Surely they could fine someone more attractive than him. I think he has the personality and charm of a piece of cardboard. Hence, when I look at him, I don't see "sexy" at all!

I've actually published a small niche market magazine and know that a mag like People has much of their content prescheduled for months. It would not be easy for them to just push it back a week. Advertising commitments are made for special issues, too. I don't think any less of People, it's great they were able to give it some "cover"age so quickly.

This is one of those times you have to consider the source. It's People magazine! Not known for its hardhitting journalism.
It has its place, and it is ranking people for their sexiness.
