"You are entitled to your own opinion;but not your own facts."

I love this quote!

It's really sad that we live in a world where facts, health, and science have somehow become political.
Except they are imo. It's important to understand how certain things are presented for political gain.

There should be nothing political about the fact that vaccines work to save lives. The nonsense about vaccines causing autism was was debunked years ago and people still refuse to vaccinate their children and make claims about liberty. People have turned junk science into a political battle cry and it isn't. Can you imagine people saying this in the middle of a polio epidemic? I won't protect my child from polio because Liberty!
Vaccines have no business being political. They've become political because of ignorance and people spreading misleading information and that's sad and harmful.

************** I like this, too. I was on you tube this morning and there was something about a company or website called Udemy. I ran onto it quite by accident and heard this guy on you tube talking about it. He was talking about this quote. I do not start new topics very often and thought maybe I should do my part and start one once in awhile. It is hard to come up with interesting topics. This is some sort of a learning website called Udemy, I think. While I didn't mean for this to be political, I think it wouldn't hurt both sides to take a commumication course and is a powerful statement towards better communication.

I just remembered. In this country you can be wrong. In many countries, you can't afford to be wrong.

I don't like it. It's far too broad for me and the feeling I get from the saying is very bad. I cannot think of anything that would make sense about having the RIGHT to be WRONG. So, I guess my vote is no! ![]()
Also agree with everything Chynna has said.

The subject this man was talking about was how no one really likes to be told they are wrong. When you are having a converstation and when we tell someone they're wrong we need to ask ourselves how we feel when someone tells us that. There was a lot more to it than this but that is the jest of it.

A fact is not political, it merely is.
However, there are those that can make anything political.

Everyone is wrong at times, the important thing is to learn from our mistakes/errors, especially when presented with contradictory facts. And I do mean facts, not opinion or personal experience.

They do not have the right to drink and drive....or shoot people or be cruel to animals. They have the right to hurt themselves if they choose as long as it does not involve hurting others.
