Recently, there was a discussion on peanut allergies causing food restrictions at schools. Yesterday I flew Southwest and they said they were not handing out peanuts because there was someone on the plane with a peanut allergy so we got different snacks. I had never encountered this before except at school. I thought it was interesting and actually we got better snacks because of it. I did not feel put out not to be able to eat peanuts for 4 hours.

Has anyone else ever had a flight where this was announced?

Oh and on this same plane there was a couple in their 70s who had just married 2 hours before going on their honeymoon. Just wanted to put that out there since we sometimes discuss finding love and marriage and wondering if it ever comes either for the first time or again later in life. She still had her wedding suit on and her bouquet. They were given a bottle of champagne!
