Peaches plain (skin or no skin) room temp. or with a slight chill.

But absolutely not in a dessert of any kind. Peaches do not need anything else to make them better and I do love sugar sweets so that says a lot for the peach for me!!

Even as I grew up well into my elementary years my Grandmother still bought me the Gerber Peach baby food I loved it so much. Drove Mom crazy but it was one of those things that you get at your Grandmother's because she loves you. Cannot remember when I out grew that. I know I snuck a few when my son was on Gerber back in the 1980's.

Preds, a simple elegant dessert I came up with a few years back was chilled peaches drizzled with smarter and I sprinkled these delicious crumbled smarter cookies over them. (I wish I could find those cookies:they were beautifully packaged and came in a gift basket). Poodlepet

Fresh peaches from a local orchard are the best. It is my DH's favorite fruit; mine is apple. Anyway, the peaches in PA are great this year perhaps because of all the rain we've had this spring and summer.

Our church had a peach festival last week and we had all sorts of peach pies, some with double crust and some with crumb crust (mine included) and some made with jello or cream cheese. We also had peach bread, peach tea, peach ice cream sundaes and sliced peaches all by themselves. Oh, and we had hot dogs and bar-be-cue (without peaches). Everything was so yummy, delicious.

This is an annual project. We will also have an apple festival in October. I can't wait for the McIntosh and Cortland apples to ripen. They're my favorites.

Spiced peaches at holiday time are the best too! My dear mom always served them with our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. I've never tried to make them at home, should probably try it while peaches are in season.

Thank you! Sounds wonderful! DH buys me peaches, tomatoes, and all kinds of fruits, but he doesn't eat them. I'm going to try this on him and see if I can change his mind. LOL His dad loves my cobblers and pies, but he doesn't like cooked fruit. If he doesn't like this, well, I've got his dad to send some to. Smile

I heard on the radio this morning that any peaches around her are more than likely going to be from another state. Apparently our harsh winter wiped out our peach growing.

I get them right from the farmer, Tom Tower. He's always introducing new tomatoes and fruits at the market.

It's not peach season in my yard yet... the neighbor's tree has some branches over the fence, so we're waiting patiently.

We love fresh peaches as well as homemade peach ice cream

Generally we love homemade fruit pies, but not peach. We're just not fans of cooked peaches.
