No, unfortunately no. We can pray until the cows come home, but people have fought on this earth for years. There have always been people ostracized for their color, religion, ideas and what have you since the beginning of time. Peace on earth to me is a sentiment reserved for holiday cards. As long as people populate this earth, things will never change. They may be better or worse at any given time, but I don't see it happening. I think people continue to pray for it because it is a means of some kind of comfort, myself included. I don't know what else to say.

We would be in exactly the same place with or without.

H&ll, if you can't even have Peace on a message board how are you gonna have world peace?
P.S. It's not just men who love to fight.

A certain amount of conflict will always be with us, no matter what. Be it a tussle over the first or last bite or who gets the best location to set up their domain, squabbles will erupt. It's not just human nature but nature at its core.
We would be better off if it was wholly accepted that the answers lie within ourselves, not from anything outside or magical and that annihilation never resolves problems.

No. As long as there are people on earth, there will never be peace on earth.

Not as long as God continues to allow man free will.

...that's funny, prayer and a desire for peace began 2000 years ago....lol I'm pretty sure those things have existed for a lot longer than 2000 years. But I doubt that "peace on Earth" will ever be a reality because humans are a violent species. That's just who we are, aggression is in our genes.

Exactly. Truer words were never spoken.
