When I was going through chemo and radiation 20 years ago, my doctor warned me about hair dye AND perming.......I didn't dye my hair but I did perm it......from that moment on my super straight locks lost their chemical curl and I've been super straight since then........................................raven

Sorry for the actress and her experience. I've colored my hair since my teens for fun and have never had a reaction of any sort. I think it depends on the individual. I have heard about dyes being able to get into the pores and that can be unhealthy for the liver and other organs for some.
