Re: Paul Newman on Forever Stamp!

I had such a crush on Paul Newman when I was in 9th grade!! This was when "Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid" came out.  I can remember talking for hours on the phone with a friend who felt the same way about him.  LOL!

I need to get to the post office soon and pick up some Newman stamps!!

My two favorite movies were The Sting & Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid-- Redford was pretty good looking too!!

Best drama -- The Verdict and who can't forget that egg scene in Cool Hand Luke?

Re: Paul Newman on Forever Stamp!

In a magazine many many years ago the article about Paul had a question addressed to him regarding being married to Joanne.  His answer was "why would I want hamburger when I have steak at home".  I can't remember the exact question but I do remember the answer.

Didn't know he wrote an autobiography but I'd be interested in reading what he had to say about his life.

One of the most handsome actors of his day.  My mother loved him.  I used to work in the racebcar circuit with a friend of mine back in the 70's.  He was in the cafeteria line right beside me getting coffee, or something to eat.  I couldn't look at him as I was so nervous.  Thought I'd make a complete jerk out of myself if I looked and said anything to him.  It was a race in the Poconos here in PA.

That's cute Himi! I probably would've been too shy, too!

Re: Paul Newman on Forever Stamp!

I'd like to see a Steve McQueen stamp, too!  Oh, and Audrey Hepburn.  Oh, and Peter Falk!  So many great actors.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
