Beatles were before my time. Never got their appeal.

OP....have you ever seen him in concert? Recently?? He's great....really great. Seriously.

I think Paul's voice is hanging in there....
Elton John and Neil Diamond sound really bad these days.

They changed the way music was performed.

His face appeared to be pulled tighter than the last time I saw him.

I have heard Paul sound better but I have a crush on him still, after all these decades!! He still has a "cute" face.

I agree. I don't think he sounded so great, either. I thought the song with Ringo was pretty bad, too. I am very happy, that he is still kicking around, and seems to be in good health, and seems to have someone to love and to be loved by. What more can you ask for? Great to see that!

As I heard Dave Grohl say the other night, the Beatles laid the foundation for all music that followed. You hear artists from R&B, rap, heavy metal, and all musical genres, say they were influenced by the Beatles.
"I Want to Hold Your Hand", which is basically a 50's/60's type pop rock song, was released in 1963. In four short years, the Beatles made an incredible evolution into "A Day in the Life", which is on arguably the best album ever created -- Sgt. Pepper's. The "concept" album was born with Sgt. Pepper and was revolutionary for its time. It paved the way for other concept albums by bands such as The Who and Pink Floyd.
No, Paul doesn't sound as good as he used to be, but he has had an unbelievable career and longevity. Given his age, his talent, and his legend, I think we can give the man a break.
