Re: Patio cover for my backyard

No kit @On It   It's custom built. You tell them dimensions and height. Mine is 16 x 12.2 and it's 8 ft high

@qvcfreak  That will looks so nice with the lights!  You may have been in a hurry to post the picture, but you need to cut off the cushion tags.  Enjoy your new space.

Yes, already cut them. The patio set is not new. I've had it about 7 years.  Cushions were kept in storage bin. Now it's setup and getting rid of bins.

Wish I could have something like that in my yard but the wind here would take it down in no time.

It's welded and grounded in cement. I don't think it's going anywhere. At least I hope not.

@JoyFilled Warrior   Yes a contractor set it up and it's steel and cemented down.

@Cherln  I had it custom built. I'm way down in South Texas.

@JoyFilled Warrior  I looked at a wooden one but was very expensive. Not pre-built but custom. Same size as what I got, labor was a little over $2500 and material was over $3000. That was a little too steep for me.

@qvcfreak

Sounds very sturdy. I'm in a place where the power of the wind here should never be underestimated. Probably why there are very few free-standing carport-type structures built around here. It's too risky with the way the wind whips around.  I've had 80 to 100mph gusts blow through my neighborhood.

Oh my goodness @SilleeMee that is some powerful wind.

We do get Tropical Storms and Hurricanes, we shall see how it stands.
