Patiently awaiting the annual "I took my tree down" announcement...

...and the ensuing (sometimes heated) discussion of when the "right" time is to  remove the Christmas decorations.

For the record, mine will be up at least for a couple more weeks.

My only comment is that it isn't a competition. People can do whatever they like, but there's no need to make a formal announcement.

We'll leave ours up until Feb. 1st. this year. I enjoy the lights, but take the ornaments off when Hanukkah's over.

Easy for me no tree, all I have to do is clean 8 days worth of wax out of our Menorahs

I do mine on January 1 and just ball like a baby while doing it.  It feels like as soon as the decorations are put away we are knee deep in a Texas August heat.

I decorate for winter so there is nothing specifically Christmas to take down.  The decorations will stay until I feel the urge to take them down, maybe before Valentine's Day, maybe not until spring.

I don't understand when someone says they take down all the decorations, and the house looks sterile (?).
