@qwarkster I think you just provided your own answer. If you accept this invitation and attend bring a wallet full of cash and a credit or debit card--sounds like you will be opening it. Hope I'm wrong, for the sake of you and the other "guests."

Food trucks are very common here for parties. We’ve had parties with food trucks and guests didn’t pay for anything.
I’m going to assume the food will be provided. I don’t understand about bringing your own drinks though
I would clarify with the host what exactly the situation will be.

We actually had a brick oven pizza truck come to our house for our son's high school graduation party. What fun! Our guests loved it, and, no, they didn't have to pay. I made a bunch of salads, provided beer and wine, and ours guests went up to the truck for their choice of gourmet pizza. Truck was scheduled to stay for 3 hours but ended up staying around for an additional hour because they said our party was so much fun. I think in your case you wouldn't need to pay for the food truck, just bring any any special drink that you would prefer to have at the party.

We hired a fantastic BBQ truck do our son's wedding rehearsal night. It was great and so was the food. We paid for it. Not the guests. ![]()

I am in California and food trucks are everywhere. They specialize in every food imaginable. From organic Indian food, to Somalian faire. To down home comfort foods. We have ice cream food trucks that home make their own ice cream on board. Omg, to die for. Most common are taco trucks, but there are different kinds Jalisco, michoacan, Baja, , etc. what ever they have, you will love it I am sure
we have hired Taco Trucks for a few events. They have the usual street style in chicken, pork, beef, even brains... But ours also offered home made salsa, beans, rice and enchiladas, tamales. They can even offer breakfast food, with chiquilles, huevos , papas con chorizo and all the makings for a breakfast burrito. Not to mention home made churros and Horchata.
what a great idea! Fun, convenient. They pull up the truck...but they have a table set up and grills. They provide everything, plates, napkins, drinks...so you can sit back and relax. Ours will only come to serve 30 people minimum though. Innovative!!!.

I would think for sure the host would be paying.

I think they are everywhere now! So convenient. They come to silicon valley businesses all the time. It is not the same teuck all the time. Sometimes there are 3 or four, and everyday they list of different trucks. They have to register with the businesses.
when you go to a party the host pays. I don't think they servers even handle money, except for tips! 😍
