This is breaking news from CNN. Apparently, there was a bombing at a soccer stadium, a shooting at a restaurant, and now a hostage situation. At least 18 dead.

French and international media are reporting that multiple shooting attacks and bombings have occurred in Paris. According to initial reports, at least one gunman opened fire at a Paris restaurant. Police told the AFP wire service that at least 18 people were killed in the attack. Meanwhile, an explosion also occurred near the Stade de France, where the French national soccer team was playing against Germany. President Francois Hollande, who was attending the game, was evacuated according to French television station iTELE. At least one other shooting and explosion has been reported.

This is a developing news story, and details will be added as they become available.

So far, explosions and/or shootings at four separate locations. The French President was at the soccer stadium, but they were able to get him away quickly and presumably unharmed.

The AP is confirming 8 dead in two bombings.  Outside a soccer venue and in a restaurant.

Deaths are up to 25; they are stating a terrorist attack.  Hostages are being held and the French President was escorted to safety....cowards, killing innocent people

French president Francois Hollande and Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve have safely returned to the Interior Ministry, according to France 24. The outlet is reporting that there are 70 hostages at Bataclan.

French journalist Stefan de Vries said on Twitter that several grenades had exploded and that gunshots could be heard.
