[They Call Me MR Wilkes]

The Paris 2024 Olympic/Paralympic Medals were unveiled today.

Each medal contains metal from the Eiffel Tower which was collected and saved from renovation work over the past 100 years.

Interesting. My own aesthetics find the gold least appealing of the three. I prefer the silver design.

Me too @bikerbabe. The base of the Eiffel Tower is just such a cool architectural design. The golden sunburst is pretty and very eye catching but the silver is understated elegance.

i think they are all beautiful!

love how they included a "piece of the iconic eiffel tower" into each.

I prefer a more traditional looking medal (gold, silver, and bronze) so I really don't like these at all. And, I really don't like that they're all different. I like the design of the bronze one best among these three....but I would feel a little cheated if I actually placed for a medal and this was all I got.

The more I look at them the more I think they're all lovely and I enjoy the fact that they have a uniqueness, both as a group and also between them, yet each one is symbolic of France, the host country. As usual, the French have brought real style to the Olympic medals they'll hand out.

The Meals are unique in their design and I hope our athletes win a lot of them!!!!

The Gold is definitely spectacular, to me.  But the Silver sure isn't bad!
