Pantone's announcing annual color choices won't make me go out and buy those colors. However, I like both those colors and already have them in my closet. I've always worn lots of light gray because it goes with every other color in the spectrum. Very versatile. Yellows are iffy on me - some shades aren't complimentary, but I like them anyway.
Sure beats all those olive greens and uggo burgundies and browns Pantone chose for years.

I look absolutely positively horrible in yellow---YUCCK! And I know a lot of people that don't look good in it either.....,
These Pantone people seem to select colors that don't look good on a LOT of people.....I remember one year they chose orange as the Pantone color and retailers wondered why apparel wasn't selling well that year.....and finally some fashion experts pointed out to them it was a color that wasn't a good color for a lot of people..... I predict the same here!

I like the yellow. My neighbor lady loved the gray. She wore red and navy with it.

I love yellow and gray together for clothing.

“No one color could get across the meaning of the moment,” Laurie Pressman, the vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, said on a call. “We all realized we cannot do this alone. We all have a deeper understanding of how we need each other and emotional support and hope.”
Hence, said Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, the decision to select “two independent colors really coming together.”
And just to head this off at the pass ... no, nobody is telling you that you must wear them. People get so indignant about it whenever they are announced. It just means that they will be featured and should be easy to find in clothing, accessories, home goods, etc.
The problem is THEY WILL BE FEATURED and with a lot of the retailers buying budget reduced due to Co-Vid wanna bet these will be the majority of whats shown....
