It’s much better than the last color they picked. That green was atrocious

Love It!

One of my best colors. It goes well with my auburn hair and turns my dark blue eyes almost Liz Taylor violet.

It's a pretty color, BUT......

PANTONE does NOT determine the color of what I wear EVER!!!

NICE!

I have the apple watch band that is that color. I can't wait to see all the bright purple items coming. Although I know many companies will tone it down for marketability.

Whenever I see someone, with hands in hips, loudly proclaim

the likes of ‘No one puts Baby in a corner’ & it’s not important,

I automatically think of the below scene in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’

when Andy thinks a color is insignificant.

Pantone ‘color of the year’ is important enough that it will seep

into our everyday living whether we like it or not.  Clothing, furnishings,

packaging...it’ll be everywhere. Pantone is the Vogue of color.

It's a deep purple.

Life can carry on now that we all know this. *lol*

How do they pick their "color of the year" anyway?

That color looks good on me. I love it.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@Plaid Pants2

According to the executive director at Pantone, Leatrice Eiseman, the color “has to resonate around the world, to express in color what is taking place in the global zeitgeist.”

Thanks for sharing this.

IMO a pile of over inflated Bourgeois horse hockey!

Thank you so much for the 🤭 giggle.

Re: Pantone Color of 2018 Is.....

And just look at the color of Meryl Streep's top and earrings in that photo above. Nice coincidence!

I'm very happy my new eyeshadow palette has a pan of the perfect ultra violet shade (how did they know?) so I can do my part to support the color of the year.

I probably won't be choosing any deep violet home decor since I'm more into pastels than jewel tones, but when I close my eyes or look down it will be clear I'm in total solidarity. Nice color!

[ Edited ]

I used to love purple when I was in my teens and twenties.  Not so anymore.  I'm also not a fan of purple icing on cakes.  Something about the color of purple that 'bothers me'.  .......... However, I look amazing in that color. (One of my friends made me try on a deep purple coat and matching fedora hat. I didn't recognize myself when I looked in the mirror.) I'm a Winter, and the color brightens my complexion, etc.  Wish I could/would like wearing that color.   p.s. I love light lavender and lilac.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
