I decided to give it a try during isolation going to paint a masterpiece for my grandchild! so I thought.
Well, it arrived today lovely pale cream canvas with what looks like very, very faint pale blue thread/scratch lines on it - these ‘scratches’ are, in fact, the numbers and design printed on canvas where I have to paint. Discovered this using hand held magnifying glass.
Put on all lights, canvas on black board, got magnifying glass can hardly see a thing. Not in a million years can I see enough to paint this. I might add I bead, knit, read patterns very successfully but this defeats me.
Vincent van Gogh need not worry lol!

@dulwich I have failing vision and a rep at my internet service company taught me a trick. I was trying to read the numbers etched into my modem. She told me to take a picture with my cell phone then stretch the picture to make it bigger. I then read it easily. I don't think this would work for your purpose but I now use it often to read directions in fine print. You might try it on your picture.

I had a good laugh too (not laughing at but with you) mainly because this is my life now.... I'm seriously considering those plexiglass and lens glasses with the lights they show on TV every now and then! Hey, if I can wear a mask everywhere, I can top it off with those glasses!
I'm having trouble with seeing the silver items here on line because they've gotten lighter and they blend into the white background! Can't buy what I can't see!

I have to laugh too as I had visions of me painting in smock, very relaxed, enjoying my new found ‘artistry’.
Not quite the same wearing readers, massive light at elbow, magnifying glass in my artistic right hand. Ah well, packed up for return. On to the next adventure!

@dulwich Why don't you ignore the numbers and paint it whatever colors you want!
Then it will truly be a one of a kind materpiece! Have fun ![]()
