Paging Photo Donna

Hi Donna! I read the thread in which you said you taught a beginning photo class and recommended buying a Canon with a super zoom lens. Currently I have an older digital Sony. I like it, but the zoom is only 4x. I would like a lot more zoom, but I don't have sophisticated camera skills so I don't want to have to change lenses and make manual adjustments. Do you mind making a specific camera rec?
