deb, deb, deb- Hey there!! LOL girl you so cute- you sound like me when I get all hyped up with stress & those nasty nerves- chill baby!! I mean do stuff but don't over do it- that's an order young lady! OMG about your husband and those stitches- geez a lou- when it rains it pours huh? Same thing here, it's like the domino theory or stuck in a vortex. Gosh I hope he does well and gets someone to install that AC... Your birthday is on the 13th- I love the number 13!!!! Really I do.. One of my favorite places is the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose- Mrs. Winchester had 13 of everything.. wow I knew we were psychic sisters or is that psycho sisters, LOL... Just teasing ya!

Now you go girl on deciding on the mask.. he said he could sure understand why- those darn needles! That was a long time ago but you sure don't forget stuff.. I am very proud to be your friend and stand by you.. this stuff is horrible to go through and I don't mince words about it, just again positivity and focus- think of happy happy happy things you love doing or plan on doing- Like we told my husband's radiation oncologist- we don't have time for cancer, we have tickets!!!! You've a ton of support from all our wonderful posters too- that chain is strong and continues to get stronger, link by link, baby!!!

Welll yesterday we did all our errands & was so glad to finish that up- it's always something you forget but must've not needed it anyway.. Up doing laundry and catching up before the race starts in a little while- Love me some Carl Edwards @!! OOps did I say that?

Hi Peaches, I am very hyper & the Drs. asked Dan is she always like this he said she is calm today.. Ask your DH if it takes long to make that mask I am not going to get one more needle in me. Maybe it will put off having the radiation another day.. Dan is a electrician & AC guy so he new what he was doing it was just the way our luck has been lately . I am very Psychic I will tell you a story one day about a girl I meet on this board & we went to the same one . We talked for hours on the phone & he was so on the $ about both of us. It turned out he became a very good friend to me & died about 10 years ago.. He told me things that happened 15 years later but cancer never came up. I still think of him every day. I can't thank you enough for starting the post about me that is one of the nicest things anyone has done for me. I feel there is a reason we met & bonded I think it was fate. Hi deb, he said to tell you it took about an hour or so to make his mask, they did CT to make sure of the positioning.. what they did might be different from your facility but I'd bet ya anything it's pretty darn close procedure. I'm literally on pins and needles for you this new week- the ball is about to roll!!! and please oh please, don't post when you don't feel like it- do for yourself first and foremost.. Deal? You needn't thank me for that other thread- that's what friends do for one another- the chain is getting stronger! I personally keep you in my thoughts and prayers all the time- he hears and knows..

Oh okay on Mr. D. being an AC fella- now that makes sense- duh to me.. I told mine that's what we pay people for to not even think about electrical.. he says "But But." Nope let me call someone, be it plumber, electrician, whatever you aren't allowed.. He laughs but I am serious! and of course I always get my way. hahahahahaha

Hey Peaches, I called this morning & going with the mask they were so happy. Your DH was right about an hour & I will not have to have the tattoo things on me so at least I can go out heck I already have & I don't care what people think!!!! But guess what I do not do the radiation today it will be a dry run they said so that makes me so happy. Then the oncologist called and ask me to come in today for another blood test, I said why was that one bad? No the lost it!!!!! on the way to the lab!!!! He said it has never happened to then ever. So I told them thats my luck. Well I will keep you updated & thanks for every thing my friend. Deb

How funny about the blood work- my hubby had to have his redone too the same day they made his mask. Well shoot a dry run is a good thing- better to do so you can have a real grip at how it's going to be done. I guess my husband has been around it for so many years the whats and hows didn't come as much as a surprise- even though he was on the other end and seeing people be treated & servicing the equipment, he had a real clue as to what to expect plus he knows all of them- sure made it more personable but didn't change the fact of what he was there for. Anxious to hear about your dry run but if you're too tired when you get back, just drop a note in the morning.. that's mucho importante keeping rested up!

Well what a day!!! The dr. radiation called today we were in walgreens & talked to Dan, She said she does not want me doing the mask it will be to tight on me & I will freak out. I said tell her I will not do any tattoo needles !!! She said come in early we need to talk. She was waiting for me & explained it all & said did you take your anxiety meds yup 20 mins ago. Do you have them with you no there at home she made Dan go home & get me one more to take , She said I told you , you can take up to 2 at a time. She said you are a wreck So took the meds & did the dry run was not bad lasted about 30 mins. & the will not give me any more needles. So I am happy about that that. But said after a few treatments I will be feeling very sick & they will give me meds for that. Then Wed. start the chemo at 10: 30 for 4 hours & the radiation right after that. So I will let you know how it goes. Take Care my friend, Deb

debfla53...I just finished reading the posts between you and Peachysue and I am crying. You are so brave and going through so much and I know you will win this battle. I am praying for you and look forward to reading how you are doing. How wonderful to have made a friend like Peachsue, she is your rock. Good luck and stay strong.

Hi deb! You had more than what a day yesterday- bet you slept better last night. First thing when I told hubby about you not doing the mask, he was all explaining how they did the treatment without it.. laser this, CT ( in machine) this and bam you're set for your treatment. Amazing huh? Tell your Doctor about your friend that works for Varian and his radiation treatment and the cornbread & milk for soothing the throat- that might not work so good with your chemo but you'll still eat something & promise me you'll eat or do whatever they say? OK? We can't let you be loosing your strength but you might feel zapped but this too shall pass.. rest rest rest rest!!! You know, hubby never complained about the mask- don't get me wrong that was the last place he wanted to be- as you well know the feeling- but he did it- his moods changed, of course, but again we prevailed each and every single day.

Again promise me you won't post because you feel like you have too, if you are feeling sick or just want to chill, then do so.. I am adamant about that, young lady. Oh did I mention that's the medical side coming out and I can be, well bossy! LOL Just ask my husband- he calls me his "nagivator"..

Nothing much planned for today but getting my hair "renaturalized".. hahahahaha... Hope you have a good, restful day! Hugs to you my friend!!!!!!!!!!!
