Did you ever get a puppy as a surprise?

Yes! Per my mom's approval, my older brother gave me a wonderful dog that was a cross between a beagle and chiwauwau (have no idea how to spell this). I named him Oscar. He was a fantastic member of our family.

I never knew there was a beagle/chihuahua mix...they're cute.

@MacDUFF That was always our guess. My brother got him from the dog pound (rescue). The bottom picture you posted, however, looks just like Oscar!!! It's very heart-warming to see that photo! I got Oscar when I was about 9 or 10 and he died during my 2nd year of college. What great memories! 

Did someone one give you a dog, too?

No, I never had a puppy surprise...I thought the pic was adorable...I just want to pinch those chubby knees LOL!   It's nice that it brought back fond memories of Oscar!

I didn't get a puppy as a surprise but on Christmas morning, my father surprised my sister and me with a black cat for her and a white cat for me-we sure did love them!
